Varsity Development League 2018

Is this league affiliated with a travel ball league? Or do you play in tournaments with other summer teams?
No, this is an in-house development league run and coached by Impact Sports. All workouts and games are held at Medfield Heights baseball field. We are not affiliated with any other leagues or teams.
Does my athlete have to attend every game/workout?
There is no requirement for how many games/workouts your athlete must attend to participate. This flexibility is one thing that makes this experience different from other summer baseball programs. We do, however, recommend athletes attend as many sessions as possible to get the most out of this program!
Are there tryouts?
There are no tryouts for this program. Any athlete going into their Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior year of high school may participate.
Can I participate in this program if I already play on another summer baseball team?
Yes! Any athlete who would like to participate may sign up regardless of other summer baseball commitments. This programs is a great way for such athletes to get extra reps in a less competitive environment.
What if a game is canceled due to rain?
Games will be made up in the event of a cancelation due to weather. Make up games may be scheduled in place of Wednesday workouts.
What if I can't make a game?
Please indicate on your registration form or email us at email@example.com if there are games that you know you will miss. This helps us ensure that we have enough players to play each weekend. We do not pro-rate the program price as we hope every athlete will try their best to make all the games.
My son is barely over/under the age range for this program. Can he/she still participate?
We may allow older or younger athletes to participate depending on how comfortable they are playing at a high school level. This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with inquiries regarding your athlete.
What should my athlete wear/bring with them to camp?
Athletes should wear baseball pants and a comfortable tee shirt to games, and bring cleats as well as all their baseball equipment. Athletes can wear shorts to Wednesday practices. Sunscreen, water and food are crucial on those hot summer days!
